WOW!!! My wife and I stayed at Ad Adstra for a quick retreat and were literally blow away. This is NOT your ordinary mom and pop room rental/ b&b. This place was built with the guest in mind. The owners want you to experience the entire chateau and property, while offering exceptional privacy with the rooms. The food? AMAZING! The views? SPECTACULAR! The Blue Ridge Mountains are your backdrop along with the sunset. There are amazing walking trails on the property and Ad Astra is situated within the rt 151 Brew Trail and the foot of Wintergreen Ski and Golf Resort. The hostess Kris is so charming (great sense of humor too!) and helped us figure out all the fun things to do in the area. Don’t miss out on Devil’s Backbone Brewery/ Veritas Vineyard/ Bold Rock Cidery… We didn’t want to leave!

Stayed 3 nights for labor day weekend with my sister and friends. We got totally spoiled by the most delicious, home cooked, fresh breakfast and gorgeous view overlooking Blue Ridge Mountain. The entire house is spotlessly clean with beautiful details…everything from the softest sheets I have ever experienced to toilet paper origami rose. During the night, we relaxed and enjoyed listening to the sound of the nature on the patio with fire pit. Kris went out of her way to help us coordinate the trip from day one and gave us excellent recommendation for different wineries and restaurants in the area. Just can’t wait to go back!!

Amazing B&B in a wonderful setting viewing the blue ridge mountains. This relaxing getaway is one place that you have to visit. Close to distilleries, breweries, wineries, quant towns and some of the best hiking n VA! Either as a couple or families reuniting. The Breakfasts were delicious, the hot tub at night had a perfect view of beautiful sunsets! My favorite part was the details in the rooms to make me feel like I was home.

Just back from a two night stay at Ad Astra. From the moment you pull up to this beautiful home you know that you have made the right choice. The slate steps up to a magnificent wooden front door peaks your expectation as to what you will find inside. The comfy living room with large windows and double doors looking out at “Humpback Rock” is breathtaking. The double sided fireplace warms the living and dining rooms. Breakfast was a beautiful presentation and delicious. The comfy king size beds with luxurious sheets makes you want to stay in bed longer, which is easy to do as there is a coffee bar set up between the bedrooms.. what a great idea!! The “wave” hot tub was fantastic and much needed after a day of golf!!! Thank you Kris and Brian for a wonderful stay.
